Butterflies and Bugs,
Or cool insect shots
Well, I thought they were cool, anyway. Haven't the slightest idea what the long skinny thing is, though all the arthropods shown here are crawling around on mint.

Sulphur butterfly.
Two sulphur butterflies. Though the picture below shows the butterflies better I like even distribution of the yellow splotches of the black eyed susans (_rudbeckia_) in the background better in this one.
I have a butterfly book with many beautiful shots---I was going to make butterfly canes and wanted it for reference. After I took this I noticed many of the pictures in that were also of butterflies mating---see the thing is, they can't get away, giving inept photographers more time to get a good shot.
