The ST Studios...
busily taking over the house
I get a big kick out of reading about and seeing other people's studios, so here I post some pix to some of mine:
The current studio is a work in progress. Pages include how I prepped the room, removing wallpaper, painted it with a fancy (no)faux finish, how the wizard installed an exhaust fan and how it looked in 2004. Since then the hood, some more trim and a sound system (requiring yet more trim install to hide wires) have been put in, and I'm currently just finishing up a woodworking class to replace two of the plastic rolling bins with a bigger wooden one. But those are posts for the future:) (Updated 24mar05)
A fairly tight shot of my old basement flameworking studio , with a buddy...I didn't have adequate ventilation upstairs for flameworking at the old house, nor any good and secure way of installing it. The commemorative bead series also has some shots of this working space.
Here's a shot of my first floor stringing studio at the old house. Though I'm just now posting the file, it was written years ago, and thus is a tad out of date. In addition to stringing beads, I also did the company paperwork and the occasional textile/sewing type project.
Ugh, it just occurred to me that I ought to put the photography studio/setup pages here too. Well, not today.... And there's the giftwrapping area, also just now cleaned up, but, thankfully, I have no pix of it!
