Giftwrap in major-minor keys
xmas & st pat's combined

I love green—it's my favourite colour, with purple trailing closely behind—but most especially the yellow greens, and what makes this giftwrap for me (and, incidentally, to me, it's my xmas prezzie from the wizard, who kindly offered to let me wrap and decorate the box, which meant I could do exactly as I liked) is the pale green shreds in the background.

2025 giftwrap: ribbon, mylar ‘fountain’, paper shreds, st patrick's hair-band; sony A7c, sony 90mm macro, godox TT600 manual flash: 25dec25, 1/160s, ISO 100, f/2.8; darkened, cropped and scaled in gimp

As well as the little St. Pat's hair ornament! It's hard to see in the photo, but in addition to the shamrock printed green ribbon, there's also these mint green shamrock dangles, and they matched very nicely with the pale green shreds. But I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here.

Since this gift was for me, that meant I could break whatever rules I wanted, including not having quite enough paper—and as usual, the paper was the starting point for the design, and I just loved this beautiful mint paper with the watercolour leaves—colour scheme and style really appealed; then I realized I could incorporate that red-edged green ribbon, which honestly is a bit busy for many wrapping papers—note bene, I used the back side, even so:)

The st patrick's day hair scrunchy/band worked out not only for the colour scheme (& because of the green thing, I rather like St Patrick's Day;), but also because I could insert it into the wire-edge ribbon, and then tuck other ribbons and whatnots into the hair piece. I was really happy with this one, and only a bit sorry I didn't photograph it from other angles, or bounce a bit more light into the leading edge of the gift, but hey, that's what happens when you wait till the last minute to wrap and photograph gifts. Honestly, I was just so happy my studio set up was back up and running...

As it was I was at least an hour late to f2tE's, but fortunately, they were also running behind too, all was merry and bright for a nice, laid back winter holiday celebration.
