Floral Cross
fun with the versacube press

The difficulty with letting pages sit for years on end is that I forget most of the details that go with a given project, as with this item, that I made nearly five years ago.

lampwork glass cross. Manufactured 9/11[2015]

I'm pretty sure I used ink blue cased over periwinkle. I know I used my friend Cindi B's versacube press—I haven't seen the bead in years, so it's quite possible I gave it to her (& possibly even made it for her.)

I came up with these glass crosses as way to make rosaries “all glass”, but ultimately it was a failure: both the rosaries I made with glass crosses have come back for repair. IIRC, one recipient simply had me glue the pieces back together; the other needs a silver cross sawn out.
