Pink Birdie,
Now, with silver!

The pink birdies were a hit: Page asked me to make one with silver leaf. I was a tad on the dubious side, because silver dissolves very readily in glass, and stains it yellow (which indeed happened.)

Pink bird. Thompson enamels, silver leaf, built on a hollow bead. Feb or March 2013

But the bird was still relatively successful.

Other side. I particularly like the way ‘pushing’ the molten glass as I razored it curved the indentations.

Page declared herself satisfied, at any rate.
