Late Summer Bike Path pix
Or, more pix of nonnative species

I kind of missed out on on the mid-summer flowers, since I was gone so much during June and July (or at least, that's how I felt.) So I missed such goodies as butterfly milkweed and lavender pale mondarda (plus of course a great deal of purple knapweed). Nor is this anything like a complete sample—my camera batteries died, so I didn't get the perennial sunflowers currently and abundantly in bloom. But I thought some of these pictures came out nicely, helped out by the rain the night before, adding its might to the dew.

Purple loofstrife and orange jewelweed, an attempt at landscape instead of my usual closeups. The pictures doesn't do justice.

If you look closely you can see a sheen of dew on the white petals.
