Hmm, obviously in a poetic mood here. This is the second of a series of Ndbele stitched cuff-style bracelets by Margaret Sutherland. Perhaps to capture the glassy surface of water, she's chosen a pallette of primarily shiny, rather than matte, and transparent, rather than opaque, beads.

Colorlines, that is, beads with colored dye in the holes, also add to the watery effect. This is the sort of seemingly-simple, classic approach that I've found extraordinarily difficult to do, (and that requires exquisite technique, as the slightest flaw is glaringly obvious) excepting the case of single beads that can banged out relatively quickly; hence, I appreciate it all the more.
