After embroidering and embroidering and embroidering beads (none of which, I believe I've shown yet—must get those photographed & displayed on something besides instagram) I wanted a quick, satisfying project. I made a big series of brightly colored birdies and kittycat heads for bead&button (which failed to sell) but this one has a holepop in the back, so I saved it. And, while thinking about doing a red/black/white dead-mouse (to go with all the other red/black & white stuff) concluded I was gonna have to make a focal in that color, and decided to work this one up with some of the scrap beadalon left-over from the red/white/black necklace.

Dead mouse, august 2015. The metal beads are inexpensive base/coated plastic etc. Besides the artist made focal, there are several designer beads as well, most notably the floral pressed lentil.
