Subdued mouse
with malachite shard

This mouse is a little subdued in its colour scheme for my taste, but I do really think the striped green shard is cool. I made a few striped shards of this type (mostly by accident) but this one has the most striking contrast.

blue-gray mouse, 2016

Like all the mice in this series, these are made with mixed basemetal findings (though top-quality 49 strand 024 cable); the wire wrapped purple bead was also made by someone else, but I was happy to incorporate it as a ‘joint’ for the piece:) As always, I enjoy making do with bits and bobs that serve both as a constraint & take the pressure off so they'll be “fun”.
