the various and sundry creations of sylvus tarn
Henna inspo
black, mustard and tan

I made this stub in 2017, and just found it again, being reminded by a footnote in a link I found while researching Monday's post: henna inspo'ed dyeing. Yeah, haven't posted, let alone done that in awhile!

pants, dyed fall 2017—taken with a samsung cell phone in available light, obviously.

In a perfect world I guess I would model (or better yet, find somebody who actually knows how to model) these, but it's been over six years, I don't think that's happening, not least because I haven't the faintest idea where these are.

Note the pair of scarlet splotches on the design below—this is the sort of thing that drives serious dyers/artisans nuts, but I can't be bothered over. Eh, c'est la vie. It's mildly annoying, but there are so many other more serious problems, not least of which these are cheap castoff grandma pants with an elasticized waist that are half worn out anyway.

close up flower and especially the heavily veined leaves.

Clothes—at least ones I like well enough to wear regularly—are so ephemeral that I just don't see the point in making them too precious.
